2 days ago i noticed the drivers side carpet front and rear was soaked with water. I was able to get it vacuumed and dried but i have no idea where the water came from. Windows were not left open during rain. I also tested the sunroof drains and they are clear. The passenger side front and rear are bone dry, water was only on the drivers side front/rear. After doing some research could it possibly be from my a/c drain line. My a/c works great. Normally i see condensation drips under my car. I noticed this weekend that no water was present after letting the car run with the ac on. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure where the drain is for the A/C system, but will be curious to see what others suggest. Make sure you look and feel underneath the carpet to make sure it didn't make it through to the bottom. That could cause an awful smell that is hard to get rid of.

I checked the front 2 drain holes on my sunroof and they were both flowing water. If the sunroof drain holes are clogged does the water come into the cabin from the sunroof/headliner area ?
You're going to have to look under the car for the A/C drain line.
In my experience, there will be only one of these, but maybe two on an LS ?
Now run a Loooong pipe cleaner, or some other not-too-rigid wire up the tube to clear it. Moisture is a breeding ground for mold, mildew, etc. that will eventually clog up a drain tube; Might even be a good idea to pump an ounce of laundry bleach up the tube.

My 1999 has 4 drains in moonroof.
When the drains are overcome with water that makes it's way past moonroof seal, then it spills up and over front headliner, drains down through A pillar area (including numerous unsealed large wiring harness connectors) and ends up on the front floor.
This is more of a problem if your car is parked on a nose down iincline..where two drains in front must do all.the work.
Pics of both ac drain holes on 98 ls400. Both are flowing after an hour long drive in 90 degree temps. Sunroof drain holes arw flowing freely as well. Im stumped as ro what caused the water leak. Atleast i know where the drain holes are now.
Good picture of undercarriage... are these indeed the AC drains?
Good thread and good pic of two rubber drain ports. Just confirming, are these indeed the AC condenser drain ports for 2000 LS400? Having a hard time confirming, and getting conflicting data. If they are, access looks easy and combo of vacuum and air compressor should clear blockage (he says optimistically.)
I answered my own question. The two rubber ports in pictures are the left and right side AC drains for my 2000 LS. Was able to vacuum using shop vac, good and secure contact sucked debris right out. Draining well again. Carry on…
