New-to-me 98, driveline vibration

Here in sweden we often need to shop around for descent price everwhere .
These guys have supplied me with good OEM LEXUS stuff a few times.
Often from warehouse in Japan.

Price for this thing is here only 136 US$ each
but shipping from their warehouse overseas will cost a bit.
Have no idea about duties and tax etc.
But they probably know.

Came up with a plan
Well I came up with a plan, gonna start with the motor mounts and if those don’t do it, then I’ll move on to the flex discs, center support and possibly the front half of the drive shaft assembly with the U-joint.
I’ll post updates as the saga unfolds...

Well bummer, but at least there was an improvement—and the motor mounts need changed out after a while anyway.

My money is on the center support bearing. There is no way to tell until you replace it. I had a similar problem with my LS and it also exhibited more vibrations at certain speeds, and more on acceleration or on uphill, and less or none on downhill. Replaced the center support bearing and vibration was gone.

Update
Well, I took it to a drive train specialist shop today and they didn’t want to do anything with it because they didn’t think it was bad enough yet. I guess I could throw more parts at it in the relentless pursuit back to perfection or just keep driving it 😅
Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you use an OEM or aftermarket center support?

It’d be a fourth opinion by now 😅 the Lexus specialist I originally had it at couldn’t find anything, I called another drive train shop and they just said they couldn’t help me with it lol. Hard to find good quality shops around here but I know of a few other good import shops in town.
