So, in preparing for a timing belt change, I was pricing some parts, and found that Lexus Of Kendall offer some really good prices on OEM parts. Curious to see how that goes, I put the parts in the cart to get the shipping estimate.
Obviously, I had to give my address first, and then I got this:
Yup. You saw that right: $6,169.20 to ship two OEM distributors and rotors, one timing belt and one thermostat. I think I could get an entire car shipped on a silver platter for less than that!
I hope this is some kind of a 4th of July joke or something...
Who knows - I probably clicked twice by mistake or something (I didn't really care so much what was in my cart - just wanted to see what kinda shipping we're talking about here). Maybe there's an extra charge on second thermostat? Yeah, that must be it.
Someone asked if "CA" is for California. Yes it is. And at this rate, it would probably be cheaper for me to drive to FL and back than to pay 6 grand on shipping.
