Should I sell stock rims
Hello all can anyone please help with pricing
I have 4 oem Lexus ls400 rims and tires. And one spare never used. I think I want to sell all. I have seen on Ebay one for 150 no tire. Asking price don't know what their getting. Rims are in pretty good shape tires have about 50 60 percent tread left. Can anyone help.

My first LS, a 91, had those and I quickly replaced them with 98-00 rims. I tried selling them for about 3 months and couldn't give them away. I finally got tired of looking at them and dumped them at a pawn shop just to get them out of the garage. IIRC they gave me $10 ea.

lol thanks, they're the same exact oem ones from the land cruiser / LX since this had to be an official toyota part that would perfectly match the font of the other badge, and then i used an index card to get the placement and angle exactly parallel with the strip of trim below... also the land cruiser is like the LS 400 of 4x4s so it's 'worthy' of having one of its badges put on the LS haha
my dad had his E55 at the time, and me being vain and petty didn't like that i was parked next to the V8 Kompressor fender badge with no badge of my own lol... and it was also a way to add a bit of personalization without taking away from the original timeless design

Also consider 17"
Not sure what you purchased, but I've just picked up some nice 2004 LS430 Chromes for only $100 on Craigslist Gonna use these 16" Chromes for winter. Once I save enough for some new 225/55/R17 Michelin Primacys, lol

My '91's original rims look like the ones in post #1, but were chrome plated.
Maybe 5 years ago, one of the rims got cracked and 2 of the 4 tires needed replacing anyway, so I took the opportunity to "upgrade" to a set of 4 with pretty much new tires from an SC430 (I think). Good enough for me.
I ended up selling all the old stuff on craigslist, pretty easily. The first thing to go was those center caps, which I think sold for $60 for the set to a guy who had just had his set stolen. Then people came and bought all the 4 remaining good tires/rims for about $25 for the ones with worn tires and $45 for the ones with good tires.
May not work if you are not in a dense craigslist area like I am.
But the point is that you might be surprised about people wanting a single rim+tire or a pair. I sure was.

I would also keep them as spares or for if you ever sell the car in the future. Having stock parts may make it more appealing to potential buyers, especially as these cars reach classic status.
Also, I would love to have a set of spares for my car in case things ever went wrong, and would hold onto mine if I got another set of wheels.

If you live in a place with snow, I strongly recommend a winter\summer tire set. I run dedicated winter tires on my stock 16's, then all-seasons on GS430 18's I got.
That + a couple hundred pounds in the trunk makes a world of difference when it's snowing out. Most of all in stopping power, something you underestimate until you drive a car with winter tires. It really makes a huge difference.
Plus with a winter tire, you want a narrower tread, so the stock 225's are good for this vs. going up to a wider tire.

V8
I like the V8 emblems exactly where did you get them and what size. I will get them in the gold to match the other's. Also look for center caps for the scion rims with the gold Lexus emblems. I will paint myself if I can't find them. I have no ls400 emblem on the right side of the back thinking about a V8 there too. Any thoughts? Next job tint.
