My phone isn't allowing me to copy and paste links right now.

You're going to have to remove the headliner. All of the pillar trim needs to be removed. The vanity lights, sun visors, etc. will need to be removed as well. I would personally remove the front seats to allow for tons of room to maneuver the headliner out of the car. After that, unplug the sunroof harness and remove the bolts that hold it in place.

If I can get my friggin phone to work, I'll post links..

Edit: here's the most comprehensive link that I could find. It's for a 94 so there's slight variations but it's enough to get you started. This is for the headliner removal, which will be the most time consuming part.

I'm glad you have not given up yet kambam. Seal that ***** up with some fibre glass or something and keep rolling mad max style.

Yes dean, as my last post indicated it did seem like I threw in the towel. My heart hurts for this car. Put lots into it for bad luck to happen. My wallet says move on and get the BRZ I’ve been looking at.... my heart says stay LS, it was my goal to get to 330K like I did in my old LS. Will see.

Want me to link me back to your own thread where you let your hood fly open to smash the moonroof? That worked pretty well to remove the moonroof, I'm sure

The UZ ain't the legendary motor it was 20 years ago. In terms of hp/L it's absolutely pedestrian now.

It will outlast the car sure. I'm sure 95 percent of all junked LS400s were junked for reasons other than motor failure. But its power output numbers are simply stomped on these days by motors much smaller (and less reliable, I'm sure, but reliability was never sexy to the motoring press)
btw, the 1uz responds well to supercharging. ask how i know
