Default Hit and Run

Well just thought I would vent my frustration. Had some knuckle head hit my LS this weekend and take off. Tried the dentless approach and its on a crease and needs the dreaded body shop. Didn't get chance to download pics but will when I get back home. For those of you that have had bodywork done how are the dealers’ body shops? That’s where I plan on going unless a high line shop would be better. Damage is on the left front corner panel; car rode up the bumper left tread marks on the car.

As my sister said if I had a piece of @#$% car no one would ever hit it but once you go luxury we are a damm magnet.

Not a big time poster but read all the threads.

Sorry to hear that. I can understand your feelings.

My car was fixed by the Dealer's body shop - which is not a shop controlled by the dealer. I had to send it back twice, as they forgot to install some parts.

Most dealers use a third party body shop for repairs, The only difference being that some third party shops may not have access to some of the replacement parts [in my case, it was the front laser cruise control unit].

Good Luck.

Yes, I did report it to ins co. and went to the drive in claim center. What a joke..... I have been to 3 high line body shops and the estimates are within a few hundred bucks of each other and have an appt with one this week. They only work on Benz, Porsh, Lexus, BMW and only take appts for the estimate. Spoke to the guy I will be seeing thursday and he said don't worry about the low ball insurance company gave me. He said they will have the guy over to his shop and walk him threw the estimate. So I will repost once I get done.
