Have had the trans mount changed long ago and at the 200K service the motor mounts were changed with the Toyota ones. Super smooth. Over time the gradual change sets in so we don't realize how nice the car is until these key bushings are changed. One of the best areas of $ spent on the car IMO. Depends what the intent is for the car and at their current value relative to the driver's maintenance schedule. Saving some $ is understandable.

At the time it was more about not realizing how **** the aftermarket parts were. I was like ooo $40 for all 3 mounts. If I knew then what I know now

That's exactly what I said to my divorce attorney.
But seriously, you learn more by making mistakes, it sinks in more.

Yup. Back in the early days I was driving I bought wallet friendly parts that were available. Sure enough those cheap parts taught me a lesson. Dad was kind, he didn't say a thing and let me learn. I don't know if it was good nor would I have possibly listened anyway. LOL.

There are some good parts at decent prices if one can luck into them. What comes out one month may not be the same factory the next time, that sucks. On these old cars, there narrowing minimal choices. The gas cap I bought for one of the other cars off RA was a cheap piece stamped from India. Couldn't expect much for $3.XX so it went circular file immediately. I did better at Walmart with a Gates plastic cap.

Like this for example. https://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-LEX...item23c2fa0a00

Save $100 for potentially knock offs. Messaged him, he says they are OEM. But.....ebay...lol

I can see how you would be skeptical. I'm sure if his parts weren't OEM he would have alot more bad reviews then he does. If it was me, I'd do it.
I just noticed he sold 2 of them 3 minutes before I posted up top 2 days ago. Too bad you couldn't find out who that was to ask him at least what they look like.

This was his previous response. I really want to as it's $100 savings. But cheaping out the first time is what got me in this position in the first place

I didn't watch the whole video but the guy seems to go into a bit of detail.
