Default Bigguy- resync the timing

I have a 1997 ls400 that I was changing the timing belt than when I turned the engine over by hand it stopped turning after 1 rotation, I do not want the piston and valves to come in contact. How do I resync the timing.

Did you follow a service manual when you installed the belt the first time?

Here are pics from my LS400 service manual. You dont need to remove the camshaft pulleys and such unless youre replacing the seals, which I recommend since theyre easy and right there but not required. Pics may upload in a wonky order, the pages and files are all numbered though, Hope this helps!
