Default 1990 Lexus LS 400 engine coolant question

Whenever I drive and then stop my car and look at the engine coolant it is at the proper line the one where it says it’s good but when it’s parked for awhile and I go back to check it’s alittle but lower than when I just turn it off. Should I fill it up alittle or leave it alone

It says cold level, so if its cold that is good.

That's normal, due to expansion and hot/cold changes. I've learned, the hard way, that it's best to have it a bit below min, otherwise, it may blow the sensor off the expansion tank. As I believe oldskewel or someone said - as long as you have some coolant in the expansion tank, you're ok. As the name implies, the tank is used only for expansion, so you don't want it full to the top.

Not me, I don't think. Hope not.

I say to fill it to the Cold level. It looks low right now. Nothing should blow off, and if it does, it is a different problem you need to fix. Being where it is is not going to cause a problem, but it's not right, and filling it should be fine.

Hope it wasn't me either. I remember saying "don't let it go dry. Ya don't want it to suck air."
But anyway, the sensor seal is already bad so it's not holding the pressure that it should. Looks like it leaked out of that so that could be why it's low.
