I have a dealer receipt on my 99' where the previous owner spent $1000 at a Lexus dealer for a replacement starter back in 2008, about 25k ago at 127k.
Because a lexus dealership charges something like $150 per Hour of labor. The vast majority of that $1000 bill was labor, like $750 of it. Thats where dealerships make their money, I actually work at a Lexus dealership I know where the money is made.
