kings of the road
in the current issue of automobile magazine there is a feature article on the best sedans in the world in their opinion. these include the audi a8l, the s430 4matic benz, the bmw 745i and the jaguar xj . they specifically do not include the ls 430 or whatever the cadillac pre death destination ride is. aside from the obvious fact that the s 430 is the lowest rung of the benz line, why in YOUR opinion is the ls 430 not included? do not mention your own thoughts on what the other cars are except as how they compare DIRECTLY to the ls 430. this is not meant as a 'troll': rather since this is probably the best place to find ls 430 enthusiasts I would like to see the opinions of the owners as to how the ls measures up against the above mentioned 4 cars. personally I feel that the jaguar does not belong in this category because it is demonstrably inferior to the ls and every other car except the sad cadillac. I think the audi [ which is nothing but a rebadged VW phaeton] is lacking in comparison to all the cars except the cadillac and jaguar and its well known that the bmw and benz have glaring quality and reliability issues. yet every review mentions their 'superior' road manners and how the ls 430 somehow isnt up to snuff in this area. so without further ado.........

So we are not permitted to offer opinions on the other cars, but (from the evidence in your own post) you are? That sounds a bit directive to me.
Personally, I don't feel any need to slag someone else's choice of automobiles. And if they ever find out how good Lexus are, they will drive the prices up and I won't be able to afford more of them.

Comprension? What is "comprension"?
If you are asking people here to make comparisons between the Lexus and other brands, then aspects of the other cars are not irrelevent. And it is certainly more respectful to allow those who wish to respond to do so in their own way. I have always found the people on this forum to be capable of expressing themselves very well, and personally I would not try to limit or restrict the manner of their responses.
Perhaps the word you are looking for is "comprehension". I can assure you I do not lack comprehension, rather I have a surfeit of it.

For someone who appears to have his own opinions, but not allowing others to share theirs, what do we have here? Yes, a one way street.
Listen, everyone buys and drives what makes them happy. My '03 LS430 makes me happy. The guy down the street bought a new Cadillac STS and he thinks it is the baddest car ever. Let it be big guy. To each his own and let's not quarrel with material things that don't really mean do-diddle-squat (except for those who own them). If you paid for my Lexus, I would give you all the room in the world to critize it, but that isn't the case, is it? ( if that is your inten)t.
For now, every one enjoy what they have today, because tomorrow they may not have it.
