98-00 Rear Deck Taillight Fuse Location?
I have looked at two fuse boxes so far, the one in the engine bay and also one in the Driver Side kick panel, I looked in both and couldn't find anything labeled like it would be the fuse for the rear deck taillight. What is it labelled as in the diagram and could there possibly be another fuse box?

Fuse wasn't blown, replaced both lights and it still won't light up when pressing on the brakes. There is a connector that provides power to the bulb and it gets no juice at all. Issue occurred after attempting to install a new subwoofer

I worry that some stress to the harness finally caused the soldering crack there. The current sensing registers and the connected connector pins dissipate heat and it is the often case that those soldering points became very weak or cracked. The photo below tells the story.

What is broken is the rear deck stop light. My other stop lights work so I assume it says 'taillamp failure' because of the rear deck stop light. I checked the connector supplying power to the 3rd stop light with a multimeter and it has no power. I don't think the problem can be with the tail lamp failure sensor because I never went near its location. The problem occures after the 3rd stop light assembly was removed during an audio install

Does power have to get through the Taillamp failure sensor before it reaches the light bulbs? At this point that's the only thing I can think of. All of the wiring looks fine and it's just not getting power.

I'd search before asking simple questions that were discussed many times on the Forum.

I ask this question because I could not find anyone with just the 3rd stop light not getting power. I have checked and only seen people having all of their stop lights go out due to the Failure Sensor Unit, not just one. I also ask this question because this issue occurred after removing the 3rd stop light assembly, not just randomly like everyone else on the forums. I'm also curious because one would imagine removing the stop light assembly wouldn't involve interfering with the Failure Sensor Unit in the trunk.

Pictures of the Tail Lamp Failure Sensor.
Everything looks fine to me except there's this bronze colored strip on the face of the board, next to it it's blackened

That was the result of an excess current. Review what you have done and one of them must has caused it while you were doing the job.
You can fix the unit easily soldering a copper wire which can endure the current there. I'd use a 22 AWG wire or thicker. All you need is just connect 2 soldering pints of trace ends.

The issue was indeed the the lamp failure sensor, I just grabbed one from the nearest junkyard and it fixed my issue with my High Mount Stop Light not getting power. I used a sensor from a 2000 LS400 and it still worked with my 1998 vehicle. I would've just soldered the wire but it looks like I could've chosen two points to solder the wire to. I know the solder point closest to the blackened part was right but after that I'm not sure where I would've connected the other end.
