Pulley noise

Changed alternator, removed ps pump pulley to get it out. Now this noise happens only when cold. Once a few miles driven it goes away.
Adjust pulley? Belt bad? Looking at the belt I don't see any issues with it. Put a screw driver to alternator just in case and nothing but loud on ps pump.

Personally for if it were a timing belt I'd say oem, but with a serpentine belt I'd be fine with Dayco or Gates belt, it's not as critical as say a timing belt and it'll work just fine.

Happened to me after I had a coolant hose leak. Belt was brand new. Same symptoms, small squeak until warm then it goes away.
Haven't bothered fixing it yet because it isn't a huge thing for me. Focusing on bigger things at the moment. Everything passed visual inspection from the auto shop I take my car to.

If your radiator hose busted and saturated the pulleys with fluid you could still have some of that crap on your pulleys and then it affects your new belt too, even a mild dish detergent with a brush can work a lot of that out then rinse with water, then there's belt conditioner spray you can get for 5 bucks or so and try that too but yes seems like your pulleys just got all sprayed with radiator fluid and you got a to figure a way to work all that out shouldn't be too difficult just a bit of a pita. I imagine eventually it'll just quiet down on it's own over time if you did nothing.

Most coolants are Ethylene Glycol and do not evaporate and the chemicals in coolant can also break down the material that the belt is composed of over time. From my view just wash it all down the best you can, get a visual of your belt clean your belt and if you think it needs replacement then replace it, if not and you feel confident with it then try and use it for a while and just keep an eye on from time to time pop the hood visual inspect it.
