Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the water pump <<inside>> the engine?? Hence when engine is 'open' and timing belt is being replaced, water pump is replaced also??![Confused](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

mbws400, when the water pump leaks its only leaks water, but there's the front crank seal and cam seals that can leak oil. I recommend to replace all the oil seal when do the water pump+ check all the pulley and tension behind the timing covers.
