Some may notice slight vibration or intermittant accessory drive rumble noise while performing a garage shift and/or turning the steering wheel lock to lock in parking maneuvers.
I can sense slight vibration of the A.C. compressor at idle on various model year LS400's
Despite the idle air control valve increasing RPM slightly while turning steering wheel during parking lot maneuvers (but not on LS400's where IAC was removed) , and RPM increase with air conditioner, there is a slight vibration.
Torsional vibration from crankshaft is more pronounced around idle...(why extended idling decreases timing belt life)
An alternator OAD decoupling pulley can help dampen remnant low RPM power steering pump vibration. (Toyota did a good job with isolation..)
An alternator OAD pulley should reduce AC pump rumbling.
I wasn't aware the denso factory alternators for the LS400 had OAD.
I recently replaced the alternator on my wife's IS250 with a denso unit and learned about the OAD then, very impressive technology.

LS400 and LS430 Denso alternators were Not equipped with OAD clutch pulleys...
However, OAD can solve several issues
