Once owned by the sister of a mechanical engineer, this pristine Lexus has barely been driven over the years.

It was bought, took on a road trip and and put back up for sale. Then didn't meet the reserve...22500USD is like 40,000CAD.... you could get so many cars for that.
The car however does look great but for that much money there are other cars I'd rather have.

Looks like it's a car that's gonna be bought and sold over and over. Since the original owner it has transferred 3 more times to this dealer, or that person with only a few hundred miles added. It's already been bounced around the country into 4 different states. I think the argument about the tires is hilarious even after the bidding stopped. (gotta read BOTH articles) You can clearly see the 2016 date on the tires.
About the rubber components; It all depends on who buys a car like that and how it's gonna be used. This one is definitely a garage trophy. Personally, I wouldn't buy from BAT cuz the prices are way too high for some of the stuff that I would want from there but there's people out there that do want a car exactly like this.
To that I say "to each his own".

Those of us here are drivers so having a nice car we'd enjoy giving them road time. For the collector this is a nice example. It lacks history so in my eyes this becomes a pristine mechanical device from a time capsule. Would be nice that the car is bought by someone who will enjoy running it across the continent on many driving adventures.
