Just realized from this photo that your car is a rare LS without a sunroof, like mine! Very cool

Does it ride a lot harder with the 18-inch rims and tires? Have you had any problems with bent rims?

there is a difference. Not toooo much. But i can imagine with 19s or 20s and the really low profile tires. Im wondering if it would ride like a tank? No problems with rims either.

a bit too sporty i feel for an early LS... lexus is also one of toyota's greatest successes and scion one of its biggest failures so in my own snobby way i wouldn't wanna put something from scion on my car lol

i think the 17" wheels from the 2001 LS would look great on that

There was a thread recently about cut springs but most guys advise against it. Ebay coil-overs can't be so bad.

there is always the option to use standard lowering springs, but i would rather ride on cut OE springs than ebay coilover sleeves which are not designed specifically for the LS but for universal applications...

^ i'm almost ashamed of my statement of cut springs (cringe!).

But the Ebay coils are dirt cheap.... like $250 for you guys in USA. The "brand name" coils are 2-3X more then i spent on my car haha

your post reminded me of Chevy adds in 1953, they had a mayonnaise over mustard color on 1953 chevys, but I bought a blue one instead...photo is so old it has faded (light blue/ white.) Here is a good photo of it.
