My fav is the 2004 facelifted LS430. I think its headlights are beautiful as they wrap around and come to a point (and projector xenons). It makes the whole car come together better and makes it more edgy. I also prefer the 2004's taillights. The 6sp auto doesn't hurt either

There is a slight facelift, not sure if its noticible unless u have two LS430s side by side. Plus a big difference is the tail lights, the 2004 that I have does not hvae the orange blinder (its clear) while the 2003 has the orange. Plus the rims are standard 6 spokes for the 2004, or the 5 spoke for the sports tuned version.

98-00 is my is the one I like since I own one.
I like the 01-04 because of the more updated appearance but the UFC20/21 is a more subtle and classy look so thats a plus too. Kinda hard to decide which is better. I guess they are all good in their own ways.

I like them all, although I feel now that the 1st gens look a bit dated and the second gen is starting to as well. I've had them all, I started leasing them since 92 and enjoyed each generation. My personal favorite was and still is the 3 gen with the upgraded HIDs as was the wood steering wheel etc. I like my 430 but on too many occasions people often mistaken it for the old big body S class, once someone even called it an RL whhhaaaatt!! well they do share the same conservativeness in some aspects.
