Default 1993 LS400 CA vs Federal

So I have a 1993 LS 400 engine/harness+ECU that was from a Federal car, that I assumed was a CA car, that I am putting in an 86 Corolla that I would like to make BAR legal. I know the federal cars had 2 cats and the CA cars had 3 but the CA cars also have an Air Pump, can someone please tell me what this air pump is, where it is located, and if possible a part number?

The "air pump" is part of the secondary air injection system which is used to pump clean air into the exhaust for better emissions. I've never personally worked with the air pump or even read much about it cuz I'm not in Ca. ( I like the cold weather) Plus I like the more relaxed emission laws here in Ct. My 94 no longer needs to go through emissions tests.
I just looked in my manual and it shows the pump under the intake manifold. I now understand why I've never seen it on any LS400 engine. The pump is a discontinued part but here's the link to it. (with part number) Maybe you can find it, or any other parts for it, from a junkyard in Ca.

Just a thought but not sure how the federal spec ECU will work if you install the pump. I know the Ca spec ECU will work in a Federal spec but couldn't tell ya on the other way around.
If it turns out you can't use the federal ECU send me a PM, I'm looking to buy another one. (if it's good)

Thank you for the information! I found that part as well as the air injection lines etc. but I have never seen the system in person, does anyone have a picture of the system?
