Default Sankei Japanese Radiator Cap

Just wanted to share for those looking to replace the radiator cap, I found a excellent quality, Japanese made, Stainless cap as a replacement for a third the price of what the dealers want ($11.99 at NAPA vs $30.07 Lexus)

It has has the same 88kPa pressure and the EPDM rubber components for the seals are high quality.

Here are some comparisons:

Nice find! I see that the cap fits what appears to me as being nearly every Japanese brand car from 1983-2012 here:

The version if bought from Toyota is $19.

More interesting multi-lingual coolant reservoir cap

OEM supplier?

"Sankei Japan" implies made in Japan

Same material thickness?

The difference I see is it uses an internal spring vs an external and I believe the stainless casing is the same thickness as the OE cap. I drove 50 miles yesterday and there is no leakage or residue so it’s holding up in these 105*+ temps fine in AZ. Fitment Is good, was able to secure smoothly onto the reservoir.

I did notice my old spring assembly was very loose in comparison to this, but that’s to be expected after 157k and 21 yrs of use.
