Default Drivers Window no go!

Hi,
Hope folks can help. I searched for drivers window not moving motor works.... But only found things for the window switch not operating other windows.
1991 Lexus Ls400

Window is stuck down. When I hit the switch windows does not move. I can hear motor turning.

If I try down, same thing.

From LEXLS I know how to take the inside door cover off.

But I need help on what to do with the window not working.

Thank you.

It probably came off the trail that moves it up and down. Take the panel off and have a look.

The nylon gear on the motor is probably stripped, it would be the wear item in the assembly.

Is the gear replaceable?

Any diagrams?

Thank you so very much.

Doesn't look like the gear is available as a separate part. Not much of what's inside the door is available new anymore.

Hi: I'm new here, but hope to help. I found out (by dismantling a parts '92) that the right rear window motor is exactly the same as the driver's door motor. You can swap them out or get a used motor from a scrapyard - which should be cheap, since they usually do not know of this and the RR motor rarely goes bad.

Good luck, J
