I was wondering if anyone ran a ls400 on nitrous *by gear* on stock trans (auto) and motor? Or should I manual swap the car first? I’m just trying to be different lol any input would be appreciated!!

The auto transmissions in the LS400 generate a lot of heat. If you’re running them over stock HP levels it’s a good idea to install a trans cooler inline with the existing radiator heat exchanger. That will give you better temperature control and longer life.

i've never heard of it and considering there is no TCU to help trigger the nitrous it would be a difficult venture (trans is controlled by the ECU). it really depends on your application (drift or drag or something else).

i was told by a buddy that if by gear doesn’t Work/“exist” then put it in the tps sensor.. but I’m going for a drag/street racing kind of build
