Default Back-up ECU?

Members who purchased a back up ECU from the junkyard, did you make sure all the #s from your ECU match up?For example I have a 95, and in case I have a 89661-50220 1UZ-FE-0MI, will this work with a 89661-50221, 02/1995-08/1995? What am I looking for to match these?I plan on sending mine off.No I am not going to do the work myself

If I have a 89661-50220, I will make sure I get another 89661-50220.

Have you read this post #8?
Some of 95 LS400s were known to have an engine halt problem when the car was aged and the firmware was needed to update to avoid the halt problem.

Even the immobilizer 96 might work
.After creating this post, I found some junkyards with 20 , 21 etc that will work.
I have found the 1995 are not as sensitive as other yrs.I even see other older years might work

Yeah I read up. Manufacture date is 4/95. Even most 1996 will work. Not as sensitive as a Camry ecu.Take mine out and put in a used one from the yard while mine is being fixed.
