16620-0W101 should come complete with a pulley attached. You shouldn't need to purchase the pulley separately.

If I wind up with an extra pulley I'll sell it here for 1/2 price plus whatever post office charges for the tiny box and we get a win win, good karma etc.

OK,spent 2.5 hours today.Took off all top engine trim, breather box.Alt already out.Air cleaner already out.Took radiator out as damaged.1 bolt to take off idler pulley.

Took off passenger side timing cover 4 nuts/bolts(my belt looks brand new,so it really was replaced). The center plastic cover was just 2 long bolts.Take off the 3 tensioner nut/bolts and it came right out.

A younger person could do it in half the time.Bradland your instructions were MOST helpful.

I will do a thread later on this, taking lots of semi good pics,LOL.Parts should be here in 4-5 days if lucky.

Bradland, you were right, tensioner did come with a pulley thats slightly smaller than it had. The pulley alone that I ordered is same size as original.Do I need that larger pulley,or will the smaller one work?My guess is the smaller one should still have plenty of room to tighten up the belt?

Radiator and Hoses from Fedex just arrived from Rock Auto. They put the radiator in its box inside a larger box about 6 inches taller and three times as wide and packed it well with paper, plastic air bags and soft styrofoam so rad well protected from any damage and it looks great. Good call on Rock Auto,Im impressed.

Size doesn't matter as it's just an idler pulley, not powering an accessory, so either will work assuming the belt fits and becomes properly tensioned.

You know,Im pretty good at doing my homework but I wasnt finding much on tensioner.Tonight I did torque specs search and found all kinds of belt/pulley threads.Day late,a dollar short.Found some nice pics of the dealer lexus tensioner replacement and its just exactly what I got, different from original but the correct part.

So good to go on that, yay! Should have it done soon depending on how my old(er) body holds out, cant wrench like I did years ago for sure,so now im sloooow and steady, but like my nephew said "At least your legs still work" Hee hee,he gets it.

Probably 2 days, then have to drive down the mtn into big city to the Toyota place for the radiator coolant.OEM all the way, though I did get Dayco radiator hoses,no biggie if they go out.

Nice repairs though,New Denso radiator,New hoses, coolant change, new lexus PS pump and fluid change,Rebuilt Denso 130 amp LS430 alternator with bleach bottle cover, new tensioner/pulley,new idler pulley though old one looked pretty good just doing the whole thing.Belt looks new.CAREFULLY degrease front of motor(no power sprayer here!),snug up any loose bolts, oil change, the best recommended Lexus oil filter from advice here, OEM air filter. Very cool!

OK,lets move back to this thread for the rest of repair. The power steering and tensioner was done on this thread, starting about post #42

Bear in mind my picture quality has been remarkably poor on this, whats up with that???

I expoxied and nicely reinforced the area where the 2 broken nipples,PVC and a vacuum line were just hanging on the resonator box, looks and feels fantastic now... and going to epoxy one heck of reinforcement on that stupid small radiator hose outlet nipple on the new radiator to the pressure container that snaps off if you look at it cross-eyed.Not playing that game again.

Timing belt looks great and cam seals arent leaking that I can see, belt would be a mess, correct? Its dry and looks fantastic.

The belt would be a little oil looking but the thing you would notice the most would be oil dripping down the front of the engine behind all the timing covers, which yours doesn't look like it is.

EDIT: I just saw your dirty pics in the other thread, "what you started with". WOW, Good cleaning job, (one of the best I've seen) Hard to tell where ALL that oil came from. Hope it was mostly PS pump related seeing how that was changed.

No oil to speak of inside the cam cover.PO couldnt remember if his guys did cam seals or not when they did the belt.He hired Lexus techs on the side to do his work.

Yes,that side is getting clean, the other side still a mess and has a good way to go yet,but nothing like that side.Used 10 cans of brake clean at 3.50 a can from carquest.Really worried about messing up sensors or whatever so trying to do it neatly.Any idea if a power spray can be used on the block in the front if alt well covered or before adding alt, keep spray down below valve covers, not keen on the idea though, just dang it would be easy. The valve cover was loose and dripping in the front, tightened up a while back.Who knows what was leaking and repaired and not over its lifetime. The alternator was only a few years old.And was an oily mess.

Dont know if I will work on it today or take a day off,it kicked my backside yesterday,I couldnt think for a few hours after and thats no exaggeration.Misses wasnt too happy, she needs me around.Dont want to do anything when Im not sharp, but grease monkey man,can do that without much brain power,LOL.

Very pleased with the results so far.

But Im getting there.Needs a bit more soaking and brushing on this side, but before you couldnt even see things under the grease before.Wont be perfect, but a heck of a lot better anyhow.

Getting drivers side clean, just a smidgen more to go.The connectors at 4 oclock and 11 oclock were buried in grease so a huge improvement.

Any connectors that reasonably want to come apart will get sprayed with Deoxit and greased with DS-ES

The trusty Denso alternator got its bleach bottle cover made.Think I will add some shims to the back and we shall see how it works out.
