1995 OEM part # for rack and pinion
I bought a rack from the junkyard and the electrical connector is different from the rack and pinion on the car..Everything else seems fine.I havnt installed it.If the part # I get from here matches the stamped one from the junyard , then I know I can transfer electrical connectors(motor) from one to the other. Then again , the one from the yard may be a different year. They clain it's for a 1995

I looked and couldnt find the part # stamped on the junkyard rack and pinion that I bought.I see something like an asset tag buit cant find a part #.I will look again but I doubt it.I say this becasue my solenoid is different from the one that came from the junkyard. Not sure if it's interchangeable.Dont want to have the suspension apart and realize the solenoid will not fit

I don't have an answer on your solenoid but I do remember a while back someone else asked the same thing. I just searched to see if I could find it but no luck. It's in a thread here somewhere. Also, I would suggest checking out the inner tierods before it's installed. Take the boots off and have a good look at them to make sure they are decent, or just change them now for peace of mind. They're pretty difficult to change while the rack is installed. The outers are very easy to change afterwards.
