Anyone bought or sold an LS400 recently? Price?

I expected it to be more around $20,000. If you check out the previous sales on Carsandbids there are a couple of LS on there. Could be the pandemic is making people rethink buying 20-30 year old cars. Maybe the 98-00 are starting to be the more desired ones because less were produced??
I think if you want a collectable, a early production 90 or 91 is ideal. But if you want to actually drive one, the better transmission and more powerful engine and various other improvements of the UCF20 is where you should be IMO.
It's weird. When you start getting into the collector markets, a "better" version of a car doesn't necessarily bring higher prices. Rarity and originality do. And the big-dollar cars always seem to be UCF10 cars, even though there are way more of them out there.
