Anyone bought or sold an LS400 recently? Price?
I am probably going to sell my 1999 LS400. Looking at Autotempest most of the cars listed are well above $3500. Obviously just cause they are priced there doesn't mean that is what the market really is. If you have bought or sold one recently what was the price? Mine is in nice but certainly not perfect and has 288k miles

Interesting, just checked the CL marketplace for LS400s and there are only five 1998-2000s listed and the age of the postings seem old. Not sure if people are not marking their cars as sold.

I sold my 97 rust free AZ car with good interior and 300k for $2500 in Michigan on 4/19'. I bought my 99' on 11/18' with 147k for $3500 (had new Bridgestone Ecopias, new cats, new starter, alternator, strut rods and all paperwork and 4 keys including flat key and window sticker) same owner for the last 16 yrs. This car has perfect paint and perfect interior with Nav/HIDs.

My LS400 had 284k miles and I bought it for $2k a few months ago. I accepted that price only because the service records were amazing and the car was very clean inside and out. I live in Central California and many cars here are WAY overpriced because the market is so small and most used cars being sold are garbage so any quality car goes for a lot.

No, I'm saying normally cars in my area are priced way too high. A $2000 car here usually means it's not going to pass smog without extensive work that double the effective price of the car, has a salvage title with visible damage, doesn't run, back tags for multiple years etc.. I was leery but when I saw how clean it was and ran the vin on the Lexus service site I came back the next day with cash in hand to buy it.
