Default Plug gapping

Changing my plugs to NGK laser uridiums pregapped at .043.

1994 Lexus LS400 is gapped at .044.

Is it important to gap these NGK's to .044??
thanks

The gap is in mm so .001mm difference is 1 micro meter which is a very small delta so .043 is fine.

No need to do anything but install. As Superfast mentions the differences isn't significant. The risk of damaging the plug or an inconsistent gap to achieve that small amount isn't worth it.

Not enough of a difference to worry about but even though the plugs are pre-gapped I still check them to make sure. I found one in the past that was a bit off. (.035)

Yep, I never touch those pregapped plugs. Especially the uridiums or platinums, in doing so you can scratch or wear that small coating of metal and decrease the life of them.

yep, you'll probably make it worse trying to correct for the small amount which is negligible!
