Default Options NOT on the 2004 - what's next?

Way before the 2004 LS430 was announced and now seen, there where rumors about new features (options) that would be available. Talk of a full range power trunk opener/closer, back seat power side shades and night vision HUD where simply not true. The 04' LS430 has to be the most technology innovative car - incorporating smart key, bluetooth phones and a true radar cruise control with collision avoidance starting in January. What other technology advances could the LS benefit from for the next release?

I'd like to see cloth-made power sunshades that look and slide like real curtains. The current ones feel cheap and don't make the interior feel cozy at all.
Actually I'm talking about something like this:

Also, I don't see a reason they can't make massage available in the front seats.

After felling like a chauffeur for my rear seat passengers (my kids), I added my own front seat massagers. One thing for sure was they had to be better than what my kids where using , so I put in (2) 8 motor, 4 zone massage systems. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=79436

I do like the foot rests, drop down table and electric skylights in the Maybach. Although I don't think I'll be stretching my LS anytime soon for my kids comfort !

S class double pane glass maybe? User activated tinting glass would be nice as well. Can't really think of much more at the moment.

The current Ultra Luxury model already comes with double pane glass (since 2001). But the light sensitive tint would be nice.......

Didn't know that. Doesn't the double pane glass come standard on all S class? If so I would think Lexus would have made it standard too.

Default AWD ! ! !

AWD was rumored for a long time. Personally, I'm not buying an LS until I can get AWD. Currently, we have an LX and RX. Lexus needs AWD to compete with MB.

It's just a matter of time. Almost all JDM luxiry models have 4WD option. And as we all know JDM market is always 5-10 years ahead. Toyota Crown had 4WD option since 1997 (not 100%sure thou) so wait 2-3 years and you'll have Celsior with 4WD Another question is: do you really need it ?

Yes, I really need AWD. I live in the northeastern US and even with the RX I have slid around a bit in snowy conditions...no accidents yet, though. No way will I buy a RWD car.

Default another wish list item

A solar-powered fan to keep the car from getting too hot while parked. Infiniti did this I think 10 years ago or so.

Didn't know about Infiniti, but I knew the Audi A8 has had this feature for the past few years.

Default suggested options

The car is perfect except for one thing. It needs about 5 more inches of rear legroom. With that the LS puts the S class out of business!

What is the advantage of having the double paned glass (laminated glass)? My LS430 has it but I don't know what purpose it serves.

It makes the cabin quieter. (As if it wasn't quiet enough already!)

I have to agree with the factory tint option. That would be awsome beacuse my car in my own opinion is perfect. Also what i would like to see is a performance package such as more agressive tires a catback and a supercharger or something along those lines to take a perfect car over the edge. Check out my pics on my thread.
