Talking Ls400 drift videos / how to /mods

Hey guys im new to this site im not quite sure how it works but I make Youtube videos frequently about these cars My channel name is 500 JAMES there is a picture of a black Lexus GS for the profile picture.. here is a picture of my current ls400 I have a LOT of plans for this so keep up with my channel and if you guys know of any good bolt on parts for the 1uz vvti motors please let me know ! I no longer run either of those rims on my car and I did lower the car a good amount , check out my channel for the new look thank you ! a like and subscribe would be much appreciated !!

First rims I bought for the car, when I bought her she had infinity shoes and I didn't like the look of them so I went with cobras!

2 transmission swaps later and I bought these 20" SC5 stance wheels .

not much aftermarket support of these engines stateside. you will need to check japanese auction sites or even australia for 1UZ modding! some folks supercharged the v8 but likely getting your hands on one will be difficult.

don't forget to start on the FAQ for basic question we have gathered over the years. welcome to the club and hope your channel does well!

Man, if you want to deck out some car with aftermarket junk and huge wagon wheels, get a sports car. The LS400 is a classic and should be left alone and not have all this garbage applied to it. I'll never understand why you people do things like this to cars meant to glide down the road in extreme luxury.

Have a look at all posts started by "Yodaone"

I prefer the look of larger rims, however they weigh a lot more than 16" tires and rims, increase the unsprung weight, increase braking distance, slow acceleration and place additional strain on drivetrain steering and suspension components. Steering reaction is slower due to gyroscopic effect of rotating mass of rims further from axis. Harsh riding too.
You set yourself back in useable horsepower with larger rims...but they look nice.

i'll never understand either... really is sacrilege if you ask me

i can (i guess) see why someone would want the slammed on big wheels look, but why not just get a cadillac deville or something which is bad to begin with and has that similar look and presence of the LS

when i went through my phase i made sure to get OEM 430 wheels for that same quality standard

went back to full stock after the tires were worn out though, it's just better lol

bc VIP! i'm only speaking for myself as i like VIP style that these cars are built upon in japan. of course the US has their own "style" which gets blended in many ways, and japan can get pretty crazy with their setups too.

my old LS:

It's gorgeous but impractical. How do you insure for something like this? Appraisal then by value?

i agree, it's impractical at the cost of style. i don't insure my mods. i take the responsibility of covering their cost if something were to get damaged.
