Default Momentum Sensor - Dashboard Brake Warning

This is my second 1st Gen Lexus - 1995 LS400. When I first got it in 2016 the dashboard brake warning light would sometimes come on when I stopped harder than normal. I figure there was a momentum sensor somewhere for this.

Over 4 years it has become more and more sensitive, so now I get warned about 80% of the time. It only goes out when stopped or accelerating. When coasting it comes on "Brake" - Just the red light on the dash. I checked the parking brake and nothing seems to amiss.

I'm going to take my Lexus into the shop this month. I figure a sensor needs to be replaced. But I can't see online what part number to ask for. Does anyone know about this?

Also - My driver door lock sets off the key alarm and this started happening right after the lock froze and I put wd40 into it. Any ideas on what needs to be fixed there? My passenger door works fine, but the driver door honks once when I turn the key and then is fine after that.

There is no sensor like you mention. I imagine your brake fluid level is lower than the limit or the level sensor is about to be failed. Check the level of the reservoir and fill up to the high limit mark line.

Thanks this worked. Topping off the Brake caused the light to stay off steady. Thanks!
