Default Hello! New UCF21 owner here.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right forum but since this is the USDM forum for my JDM car i suppose im in the right place.
I am currently awaiting the arrival of my 1996 Toyota Celsior Spec C from Japan. Its due to arrive in late May at the moment. But I figure I could say hello.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning as I progress on this pretty unique build. Below are some pics of the car that were taken while its in Japan prior to shipping

Welcome to Club Lexus and congrats on the Celsior! Looks pretty good!

I wasn't aware that the pre facelift JDM Celsiors had a glass antenna opposed to the mast antennas here. Cool.

Welcome to the Forum. Congratulations on your purchase of a Celsior.
Allow me to enlarge one of photos. Judging from the license plate of the yellow car behind, the location was "横浜" = "Yokohama" very close to Tokyo. The car must had used there at a residential area.

Great condition. Celsior floormats are better fitting, plush and more artistic than North American Lexus counterpart
Would be interested to hear whether Lexus sends you to Toyota for service and Toyota redirects you to Lexus...

Correct, the exporter I was working with is based in Yokohama. The car itself is actually from auction in Okayama. Was kept in garage or underground storage for most of its life thus the outstanding condition versus most cars coming from japan. After the purchase the car was transported to my exporter for a final review and inspection before being sent to port for shipping. I could have opted to send it directly to port, but wanted to have the videos and pictures they offer as the service to their clients.

I too find the Celsior floor mats both the grey flower design and the modern art deco ones i happen to have in mine to be more welcoming and luxury looking than the standard Lexus mats (no offense guys).
I also have a power rear sliding curtain which is pretty unique, not sure that was ever a thing in USA models, as well as back up sonar, and parking pole. again not sure if either were offered on USDM XF20-21. Japan certainly has a way of out doing things even when Toyota/Lexus had already set out to OUT DO everyone else.
