Default 94 SC400 1uz in 94 LS400

Hi. I recently picked up a 1uz out of a 94 Sc400 to put into my 94 Ls400. I’m aware that they have different coolant reservoir locations but that’s fairly minor. I’ve heard that they also have different oil filter housings and different fans. My main question is whether or not a straight forward swap is possible or if the housings absolutely have to be changed over. I got the wire harness and ecu. It’s just the actual fitment. Any helpful pointers would be nice too.

yes, I did look for threads already but all I found was some clueless dude asking dumb crap and being told he was clueless

also pro demand says you have to drop it out the bottom of the engine bay but that’s a bunch of crap right?

Don't know about the SC but I've pulled the engine out of an LS400 topside, was a relatively easy job. I'm guessing here but you can swap over all the ancillaries and you're good. Someone else with more knowledge will need to confirm.

you should be able to swap everything over and keep what is specific to the LS chassis.
the oil pan and pickup will need to be swapped since i believe the LS has it on a different location than the SC due to the steering rack and subframe, among other small things.
yes the block can be removed from the top!
