Default 1993 LS400 Lowering Springs & Spacers

Good day, Gents! I just picked up a mint 93 LS400 with only 93k on the odo. It was garage kept, single owner since it was bought new in 93. The car is fully stock and I want to lower it to remove the wheel gap and add spacers. Can you guys share your setup with me? I obviously want to prevent rubbing all-together and I want the wheels close to flush with the body. Thanks in advance!

welcome and congrats of finding a low mileage beauty!

most folks here will tell you to keep it stock and enjoy it but it's your car so if you want to lower it, do it! lowering springs will be hard to find nowadays. the best and easiest to lower the car with adjustability that springs cannot give is to go with full bodied coilovers. the ride will get much stiffer but not totally unbearable in my opinion. lower the car to your liking first then work on the spacers as the height will determine the final look of the wheels.

if you want to keep the smooth ride, try to find lowering springs and mate them with good aftermarket shocks. the factory shocks can only handle the higher spring rates of lowering springs for a short amount of time.

Welcome and congrats on the LS!

+1 with Timmy. The cost to get shocks and if you can find new lowering springs is going to be similar to the cost of new adjustable coils.

Thanks for the info! Which coils do you recommend?
