Default Tilt and telescopic motors 1998-2000 ls400

Disassembled, refreshed and lubricated steering column assembly.

Replaced the upper steering shaft and slides for the telescopic unit.

After reassembling, both tilt and telescopic motors were not working...where previously they had..the motors were attempting to.turn on but shut off.

A post solving an intermittent horn issue by adding a ground strap between the sliding sections of the column.

Anyone know whether the tilt and telescopic motors are negative ground or if dedicated negative wires to each unit.

Both motors are working, but the tensioning mechanisms on the tilt and telescopic sliders are overwhelming both motors...

Was able to get the tilt going but the telescopic only works if I loosen the allen head caps that secure secure the two tensioning springs.

Perhaps a current limiting component on the motors or inside tilt/telescopic ECU.

Thanks.
