Default Need P/N For 97 LS400 Front Strut Lower Bushing

Did an oil change & noticed the lower bushing on my left front strut is cracked at the lip (see below photo). Had the same problem on my 02 Mercedes CL500's strut a few years ago & was able to purchased just the bushing. I've tried to look for the bushing & p/n but came up empty so does anyone knows if it's available & can be purchased w/ just the bushing? I have a press so it's a half an hour job if I can find one. Let me know. Thanks.

Btw, strut has 50K miles. Car drives & maneuvers like new. No clunking nor popping noise at all that's why I want to see if I can just replace the bushing.

I've never seen the bushing sold seperate. If you're gonna change the one strut, it's good practice to change the pair. Hate to see that happen only after 50K miles. How does the other side look? This one, to me, doesn't look like it fit in there tight like it's supposed to.

Yeah unlike the Benz's, I've never seen it sold separately. The other strut is fine. I took another look at it, even though part of the rubber bushing is torn, however the metal sleeve inside the bushing is still ok as it's still being held by the rubber all around it so I'll leave it "as is" for now. When I do struts, I've always replaced all 4 struts at the same time so for now, I'll drive it for another 10K miles then replace them all at once. Thanks.

I would do the exact same thing. But make sure you check it every once in a while and listen for the clunks that are definitely gonna start very soon. Were they OEM, KYB, or some aftermarket?

Strut rod bushings are common failure items..
The lower strut bushing may be available from febest:

That doesn't look like an OEM strut bushing, I would say that's an aftermarket KYB shock or another brand. My factory Lexus shocks have a much thicker bushing at the base of the shock that's almost as wide as the opening where the shock slides into the LCA mount, same as my Bilstein shocks that I upgraded to. If you were to get a Lexus bushing (if available), it likely wouldn't fit on those aftermarket shocks based on the length of the bushing.

Below you can see how beefy the bushings are on the lower mounts, these are my original shocks I removed off my 99'

It's KYB 341159. Mine is a 97, bought it when it was a year old so I've replaced it w/ KYB struts twice now at 100K-mile increment. Since I've owned the car all these years & did most of the work myself, I'm familiar with the OEM & the KYB struts. The OEM strut's eyelet is thicker so the bushing is flush mounted whereas the KYB, the eyelet is thinner, however the rubber bushing & the metal rod sleeve are thicker & they're protruding beyond the eyelet equally on both sides so the overall width is the same as the OEM.
