Bilstein is a Superior product. They might be the ONLY aftermarket LS part I've seen of higher quality than Genuine Toyota/Lexus! I wouldn't be the least bit worried about a little extra firmness.

I think the difficulty is over rated, usually its a rust monster and fighting bolts making it a horror show from the utubes Im watching.I doubt there are 20 nuts and bolts involved in doing both sides and heck,i can turn bolts, and the oh so scary spring compress which also doesnt look all that scary with a decent tool set.

Maybe I can get nephew to do a video on our job but he's a busy guy.He has done some on his Corolla and Odessey.I will focus on the strut assembly if he will do it,that seems to scare off people a lot.

EDIT- COOL! Nephew on board for a video,is there anything specific you want us to focus on?
You can borrow the portable spring compressor from any local auto parts stores for free. To speed up the process, you can use an impact gun to compress the spring but make sure you tighten the tool evenly on both sides, a little bit at a time, that way the spring will be compressed nicely which will make the installation of the new strut much easier.

yeah the rear shocks weren't too difficult to do. The seat bottom and back has to come off to gain access, that takes about 30 min. Then, I was able to reach the 3 top bolts using a low profile 14mm wrench and also a 3/8th socket wrench with a wobble joint. The rear package shelf was left intact and clipped in, maybe the very corner, but I definitely didn't have to remove it completely.

Hey Spuds, what did you end up going with for the shocks? Did you also replace the springs? I need to replace my springs, but I was wondering if the quality of springs varies as much as the shocks.

Unfortunately they are still in the box, major house repairs got pushed to top of list and still an ongoing project.Promise to update when they get done.

Make sure that Amazon or the third party seller is an approved vendor or you may find that there is no warranty. Call Bilstein direct to verify vendor status.
