Still looks sharp to me (as long as I am not too close) but what can I do about the wheels?
I can see myself spending stupid money to have them refinished, but my daughter relies on this car and cannot give it up for as long as that would take.
Has anyone found a cover that would hide these cheaply and effectively? How to attach?

Take them off & get them all re-chrome if you want to do it right. You're looking at around $400 + another $100 to get them mount & re-balance. Once done, you'll have a nice set of wheels & your car will look even better.
