Access to 1990 - 2000 trunk side rear tail lamp lense bulbs are provided via hinged covers on the trunk lid liner.
These access covers are held closed with velcro hooks on trunk liner access panels in tandem with a counterpart tab on a pedestal extending from trunk lid lense assembly
As the plastic hooks on lense side start to wear, the access panels remain open.
On 1995-2000 models, the tail lamp side hooking clips are serviceable.

Plastic nubs on old hookersare missing, cracked and worn... "Fastener hook" P.N. 90530-14001. Removal of old hooks is achieved with a thin tapered plastic trim tool. New hooks snap right into place..

Right? Not too many of us fix the small things like this with the actual correct part. I would just add another piece of Velcro. (If it bothered me)

Perhaps Toyota would better support the platform if more basic parts were purchased from Dealer and not aftermarket...
