No seat warmer buttons, wires still there.

I have a 91 LS 400, and it does not have the seat warmer buttons on the ashtray, however when pulling it out it still has the wiring harness plugged into a dud plug in the back of it. Is this a situation where the manufacturer made all the cars with seat warmers, just without the buttons, or did they just put the wiring harness in without any warmers in the seats.

It can vary as some options may be costly so they may allocate certain harnesses for fully optioned models. We've had some discussion on connectors between the regular Pioneer and Nakamichi optioned 400's. Same may apply to HID equipped '98 LS400's, I would have to refresh my memory as I don't recall if the connectors are in place for those features.

My 1999 does not have heated seats, but I recall plugs on both sides of console near the front seat area consistent with location of where seat heating element harness would interface..
However, do not recall seeing body wiring harness connectors near where heater switches reside at upper right corner of shifter cover trim.
Anyone know?
