What is stock speaker size for 2000 LS400 with Nakamichi?
I know variations of this question get asked all the time, but after reading all the threads, I haven't found an answer for what the stock size is. I want to upgrade the speakers without dremeling. Every thread only says that you can make a 5.25" or a 6.5" fit if you dremel. But what is the standard stock size so I can replace without dremeling?
I have a 2000 with Nakamichi, no nav.

The official Technical Information page for your 2000 LS is rather vague, simply has a line
drawing with "rear speaker" and "subwoofer speaker" and no dimensions provided.

They are 5.25" speakers, but most all aftermarket speakers will require some trimming to fit. I recently installed Hertz DSK 130.3 Dieci Component speakers in all 4 door of my 98' with Nakamichi. There was a fair bit of dremel tool involved, even though they are 5.25" speakers. A test fit of some basic 5.25" Pioneers also required trimming.
