I was looking at a website that listed all the different trim variations for the 2000 LS400 and one of the options was heated rear seats. Does anyone here have that option in their car, and if so where are the switches located?

I've never heard of rear heated seats ever being an option on the 400 in any year. At least not in the USA.


Supposedly, the UK version has heated front and rear seats as standard, the controls for the rear are inside the rear armrest

I think it may have been an error. I've never seen a USDM model with heated rear seats either, but I have seen European and Japanese models with them:

I think it was a EU/Japan only accessory, I recently found an image of the switches and it looks much better than what we got here.

They also have a black pearl emblem option which I have only ever seen on newer models.

I found that strange as I thought the only other variety of emblem at the time was gold

The black pearl emblem option is something I've seen on USDM cars. I have seen a handful of 98-00 models with them in person that were still in original condition.

I have rear heated seats. Car originally sold in Germany.
The buttons are, as someone else pointed out, located in the rear armrest.

My car only has those two buttons in the armrest, no radio buttons or anything.

Do you have any pictures of this function? Documentation of the feature is strikingly low
