LS430 CD "Fast Forward"?
Where is the "fast forward" for the base CD changer in my '03 LS430? I can't find it anywhere. You know...for when you want to fast forward thru a slow part of a song to a better part of the same song?

Hello you need to go to push the audio button located on the right of the navigation system and when you enter you willl see two buttons one like this ^ and one pointing down touch and hold the arrow up to fast foward and the arrow down to go back.

While you are playing the disc, you know where the preset is numbered 1 thru 6? While you are playing the cd's, there are some instructions that appear above the 1-6 buttons. I'm not sure of the exact order, but it goes something like: disc up, disc down, fast forward, rewind, repeat, and random. The icons with the < and > are fast forward and rewind. I hope this helps.

Nope! That's how it worked in the '02 ES that I traded in. My LS does not have ANY < and/or> arrows. It does have up and down arrows for next CD but nothing for fast forward or rewind. Did you SPECIFICALLY get into an '03 LS without the Nav and check it? Or am I crazy?

What the....????
No, I did it from memory. (okay, so sue me, I took a shortcut) I'll go check now.......I need to get a cd from my car first otherwise it won't light up into cd mode.
Okay, you are NOT crazy. the #3 and #4 are blank, which is pretty much where the forward/rewind is on the other cars. That's really weird. I never noticed that before.

I didn't mean to bust your chops. I just suspected that you were guessing because I did everything and can't find it. In the end, it would appear to me that there is NO FF or REWIND for the CD without NAV. That really sucks! How could Lexus make a goof like that?

On some systems (not sure about this one), you hold down the button that advances you to the next or previous CD track. This will often give you the effect of fast forwarding or rewinding through a CD track.
It might be worth a try.

If you do that, it advances to the next track! Now that more fast forward than I want!
