Default Legit source for parts?

Putting together a list of tune-up and maintenance parts... Aside from the fluids, its mostly suspension parts/bushings...

I'm scrambling amongst different Lexus dealerships websites to assure I get genuine Toyota parts that are not counterfeit/bootleg, and wondering if there is a go to site that is legit?

I know RockAuto is legit, but they don't seem to carry Toyota parts. There seems to be some seemingly legit sellers on eBay, but still feels risky.

Does anyone have experience with lexuspartsnow.com or lexusdirectparts.com?

Any other recommendations?

I recommend partsouq.com for lower priced OEM parts. They come from Dubai via express FedEx, DHL or UPS.

RockAuto has some OEM parts that are straight from the supplier but you have to do some research. Eg: Tensioners, Pulleys, Master Cylinder etc

In my experience you will have no choice other than the dealer for certain parts.

if you are in socal, go to lexus of westminster and they can give you a club lexus discount and it will be the same price as lexuspartsnow or the like and you get the parts that same day (assuming it's in stock of course). i do this for fluids like ATF and coolant which is difficult to ship for some.

i have not used lexuspartsnow but i have used toyotapartsnow (same parent company) and all parts that came were OEM in original packaging, and arrived in a timely manner. most of these types of websites have a dealership behind them so they are legit. i just prefer some over others due to the ordering interface (site has better navigation and blow-up pictures to ensure i picked the part i intended). i have bought parts incorrectly but that's in part due to the poor part layout in the website and my interpretation.

Parts.lexus.com. A list of Lexus dealers will be available and you can shop your part among those dealers to find the lowest price. They are all required by Lexus to sell legit parts.

Yes, I would recommend them. I bought a cabin air filter and motor mounts recently from them, and picked them up in person, since they are an actual dealer that also happens to have an Ebay store. Some of the best prices online too.

Shop at any of the Lexus/Toyota dealerships online that sells those parts then take that price quote to your local Lexus dealer parts guy/gal. In this competitive day they want the sale and will match it or beat i or come close.. It won't be by much but you are assured of getting a genuine part that you have recourse with. I've done this several times at the Westminster dealer though Cerritos will also do same. I go to Westminster because for years they sponsored a local meet so that is why I go there.

partsouq.com is good and they have the rare stuff that may be out of stock/discontinued stateside. The high pressure PS hose was about $500 stateside, it was $270'ish from them. Flat rate shipping of $65 so have a big enough order to make it worthwhile.

I posted this in the video thread on this YT suggestions for parts:

Soon I'll be on the hunt and buying alot of parts and I was wondering if anyone has heard of or used this T-belt kit.
Amazon Amazon
It has the Mitsuboshi belt, GMB idler and tensioner and GMB water pump, the cam and crank seals, VC gaskets, and NTN tensioner. I've used GMB bearings in the past but not sure about their WP. I'm just thinking of as many parts I can get that are good but cheaper cuz I'm gonna need so much at one point. I'm still debating if I'm even gonna change this or not.

My local shop owners commonly say, "I don't use GMB's water pumps any more because they are cheaply made and often fail prematurely".
As I search the Net, something similar problems are there many.

Thanks for the tips. I'm in Norcal, but will check the local dealers to see if they can offer a Club Lexus discount, which would be super cool!

That Scottsdale dealer looks interesting too; the dealers with good prices so far I've found have been in Florida, so shipping would be a factor, but either way purchasing out of state, perhaps I can skip the sales tax.

Btw... Just realized that the Lexus dealer site offers free shipping by using the promo code: SHIPLEXUS on orders above $100!! And you can choose which dealer to order from.

Stevens Creek and Magnussen Lexus used to host meets in the day. I don't know if any of the OG crew still exists there. May call and see if they will do something for you if these are local to you.

Thank you Yamae, that's why you're "the man". That's what I was looking for was first hand experience. I saw on Yotatech where people were saying it's ok but I'd rather take your advice then a one time answer from people I never heard of before. I'm taking that off my list right now. I'll use Aisin if I decide to do it. Thanx again.

I'm looking to get a timing belt kit for my 96. Aircabinman used to sell kits with OEM parts on ebay but doesn't look like he has it now. I see a kit at Partsgeek that says Aisin and says its for 1990-1997. Can that be correct? And the price, while I like less expensive, seems maybe to be too good to be true. Any opinions or other options?
