Just broke 215,000 on mine but I'm not the first owner and have only had it less than a year, paid $2,500 cuz that's all i had and the guy bought a new car so he didn't need it...his loss my gain and I love it...I know it was well kept up with though, he had a local shop do all of the maintenence and unfortunately because I am a student in high school I do not posses the funds to keep it as maintained as I would like, adding that Lexus is not cheap, it's going to be tough keeping it up especially when i go to college. I will be replacing all the suspension soon, and an oil change soon, and unfortunatly the interior is starting to go, but is still very comfortable suprisingly. Other than that, it is a rock solid car!!!

185k on my '95....had a '91 in 2002 that had 276k on it when i sold it...after that baught a '99 with 56k on it and sorry to say RIP....she was only a baby...next car will be 01+ LS....

Got a 91 LS reading 299K, its gone over 300K though but the odometer isnt working right now. I'm just getting the tranny rebuilt (since the motor is still running so good). The LS is like the enegizer bunny!

LS 400 Pearl White - Like New @ 140k

I'm 49 and I must say, it is the best driving car I've ever owned.
I recently purchased mine for $5,000 from a private owner and am glad I did. I did a complete tune up on the car and found that both rotor caps were cracked. The car had the original spark plugs wires on it. I know they were the original wires because the date 1994 was stamped on the wires, wow. Wire #7 wasn't even firing. No wonder he let the car go. We replaced the plugs, wires, rotors and the coils for about $300. After a couple cans of injector cleaner the car runs like new again. Other than that, I have the gas needle problem, the LED is out and the rear speakers aren't working. It's just enough stuff wrong to give my wife something to grip about. Plan on fixing that soon to shut her up.

Purchase a Lexus LS400. You won't be sorry you did. I drove 300 miles to get mine. Even if I have to, I plan on flying to another city and driving back 1000 miles to get another Lexus for myself because after my wife drove this car once, she stuck me with the 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis. Oh well, I always said I'd give her a Pearl Lexus one day. LOL

Thinking about the coupe. What do you think?

I haven't had it but a day, but got it for $4500.00 -- Looks almost new, and drives like new. I love the car!

I can easily see this thing tacking on another 100k without any major maintenance, and going another 200k without turning into a money pit provided all maintenance is kept up.

That is key for these cars, you do routine maintenance close to intervals, consistently, and they are going to keep going, and going, and going..

People also get hooked when they drive one. They don't realize what it is like.. Sure they hear about the LS, the Lexus, the quietness, the smooth ride,etc. But until they drive it once, they don't *really* understand.

I bet the LS400 gets the most love 'overall' out of any car made.. (Who knows hehe, but alot of people take care of them it seems)

Just took my first 350+ mile trip in my, 229k LS 400. -- Runs strong,.. fuel economy is on par,.. but man trips like that seriously get the car dirty

We should tie pictures in with the milage -- Something simply like

Year -- Make - Model -- Mileage

Be a good tribute to these machines, and I bet people with under 100k see threads like this and have a big smile on their face, because they know their vehicle has a LOOONG way to go before it even begins to have problems.. When I think of the LS 400, if someone has 95,000 miles, that is just getting broken in.

Got in 2003 with 85k, now 138k. Pearl white.

Replacement list: exclude regular mantenance

Timign belt
Oxygen sensor,
two rear struts (with one failed)
master cylinder
plastic undercover (cost me $150 from the dealer for a piece of plastic!!!)
cabin filter (just replaced the very original one, did not know it has one)

Things to be repaired:
Brake sensor
Power Antenna (current one broken, plastic rod broken)
Driver side mirrow ($650 from dealer, will try to locate a cheaper alternative, peal white, if you know any info, please PM me.)

Now 6 months I own this 95 champagne colored LS 400 with 159K. Purchsed it for $5000.00 with 153 k at the time. It came with two sets of winter tires, however the summer tires needed replacing.Car had only 1 owner and was meticulously serviced at a Lexus dealer for the past 12 years. All maintenance records for the last 5 years were included. Since I took it over the following has been done at a cost of abot 3000.00$. Car is an absolute gem. Family and friends who drive and see it can't believe it's a 13 year old car. If only gas prices could come down and let the reliability of the car prove itsels over time and save me $$.

1) Replaced rear bushings
2)Sealed an exhaust leak(exhaust gaskets)
3)New front brake pads(ceramic)
4)New spark plugs(platinum), rotors, caps and wire set
5)Drive belt
6)Replaced rack and pinion(used
7)pcv valve
8)all filters changed
9)all fluids changed(except for tranny fluid to be done end of summer)
10)Wheel alignment
11)New ECM from autozone(yet to be installed)
12) 4 new micheline primacy mxv4 tires 225/60/16

NOOB here and just picked up a 1992 LS400 with 214k miles as a daily driver. I'm very impressed with the way this car drives with this many miles and other than a mysterious small coolant leak I'm trying to find, everything else works pretty good. I'll snap a few pics and post them as soon as I wash her, she's like a dark green color, I think it's call Black Jade or something...

1990 Pear white and silver LS400 with over 250K on her, my dad (first owner) upgraded to a 1998 LX450 and passed her on to me about 2 years ago. WOW I am impressed. She runs smoother then your 2008 Honda accords and Camry's! She still packs a punch when I got on the gas too! A few mods coming soon!

These mileages that some of you have posted are amazing. I "only" have 97K on my 95 so that means that it is just beginning its long journey towards 500K.

I've got a 1991 Lexus LS400 in white and I've just hit 120,000 miles. Still runs great!

That's true. When you drive an LS you get converted. I've never owned a smoother riding vehicle.

I've now got 95K on my 1996 LS. Just had the timing belt service completed and I'm good to go for another 90K. I''ll have this car for another 8-10 years
