272k miles on the LS400. Needs new control arm, engine and tranny mount, all new gauge circuit boards, tranny and diff fluid change and most likely timing belt and water pump. Everything else runs like brand new and it has the coldest ac ive ever felt...

200 000 miles runs great, had an out of province inspection and it was maintained really well, only known issue which i diagnosed myself is the trac accumulator so the trac system will not work sometimes. I was told the timing belt was changed 30 000 miles ago but i have no record of it

my odometer has been stuck on 237,000 since i got it almost a year ago and put about 12k on it so far using the digital tripmeter to keep track, so i'm not quite sure
but my car runs perfect aside from the leaky powersteering.

My baby has just ticked over 200,000km and drives like a brand new car. I am the 2nd owner and I'm soooooooo lucky that the 1st owner babied it from new and it had a full Lexus service history.... never went over the speed limit, never drove it in the rain and always garaged it.
Things changed :
150,000km Timing belt
195,000 Oil hose from power steering pump to resovoir (it split)
175,000 When i bought it i put a set of Heavy duty Bilstien shocks
Things needed:
Suspension bushes
Power antenna mast
Super charger
I LOVE THIS CAR

Proud to own an identical 1990 LS400.. Same color and everything. If I photoshopped that guy in front of my car know one would know the difference.
I have to say, owning this car has completely changed the way I view automobiles, and more specifically Lexus vehicles. I currently have 190,000 miles on mine and I do not exaggerate at all by saying that it runs like it is brand new.
In my four years of owning it I have replaced the starter and an alternator which only went bad because of a valve that I actually discovered on this forum and brought to my mechanic. I got the car for a steal price because this valve caused it to blow smoke on start up and made it appear that there was a serious issue with the power steering pump. Low and behold, I found this forum, fixed the simple valve, replaced the starter, and was instantly driving what felt like a brand new lexus. I have never been so pleased with a vehicle in my entire life.
Everything about this car screams quality, even the original leather seats which have seen alot of use look great.. Amazing! These seats are only 4 years younger than I am!
If you see one of these at a good price, and you have the cash, do not hesitate, just buy and experience.

Have a 1998 LS400 with 132000 miles, body in prime shape, interior very clean, runs very smooth and can jump from one traffic light to the next. New tires on prompted me to test drive it on lonely highway to Big Bend National Park @ 130 and chickened-out...more pedal available. It needed new starter and a new key...which owner agreed to pay for and have the starter installed. When it was ready, I paid him for the Pearl White LS that makes me smile everytime I start it. Wow! Paid him $6500... which he spent $800 getting it ready for me. I think I got a bargain! I do need a new under engine cover though...any suggestions?
