I had a 1993 that rolled over 262,000. I traded it to my son a couple of months back and he is racking up some more miles. It still runs great, still doesn't use a drop of oil. We now hav 2 LS 430's in the family.

My '98 LS400 has just turned 200,000 k's and drives like new.
I purchased it for $17k with 175,00 & I'm the second owner...
The guy i bought it off payed $167k in '98 and it never missed a service.. EVER !!! A full Lexus service history down to the day (i kid you not) ... The log book's are a site you've just gotta see to believe. When i first went to inspect it, i pulled up outside the front of the guys home and saw the most PERFECTLY manicured lawn's and garden ive ever seen.... i mean it looked like he cut the lawn and garden with a pair of scissors... it was just sooooo perfect... and it was then i deceided that this was the car for me... before i even laid eyes on it... As the electric garage door opened to reveal 6 cars !!!! All i could see was the boot lid... All the hairs on my neck stood up... i had an ear to ear grin with excitment...
.."here's the money"... before i even opened the door ... i just knew... the car just knew.... 'this is gunna be good'... it was love at first site....
*** To cut a long story short, i hope to keep this car until i'm too old to drive.... I'm always looking for an exuse to go for a drive... I have taken the cold air scoop off so it makes this b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l exhilarating intake sound so i'm always on the pedal...
Hmmm... er... back to the subject of how many miles.....
there was a guy on the Gold Coast (Australia) who runs a limosine buisness and has 7 LS400's. He recently sold a UCF10 on ebay that had 800,000km's on the clock. I rang the guy up as a matter of interest and he said he put in a low km import motor and tranmissionat 650,000 (he put the transmission in as well as it came with one but there was nothing wrong with the old one!!!)... he changed the motor as the old one felt a bit 'tired'.... He said everything in the car worked, it passed rego no worries, had never broken down once, had no rust even though it lived next to sea all its life, and still after all this time he still enjoyed driving it..... now that's a good car......

Original tranny, engine never rebuilt. Changed the oil every 5,000 for a lot of years but have gone to 7,500 between oil changes since switching to synthetic. Timing belt every 125K. I've replaced the power steering pump and alternator each two times. A/C compressor has been changed several times. A/C compressors have been remanufactured and have not done well with them - need to be replace again after just two seasons.

wow. nice to hear that your lexuses (lexi?) go for so long and are still running smooth. i just bought a 1994 LS400 and it has 198,000 miles on it. that was alot better than the 300k on the mustang i sold when i bought it, but i was still concerned that the lexus would not last another 2 or 300,000 miles... but it sounds like it has alot of life left in it!

I have a 97 LS400 with 203k miles on it and going strong. It's in the shop right now getting timing component kit and valve cover job. It's close to being my favorite car so far. What a classy ride!
