I could hear that music and everything CUH CUH CUH....SH SH SH so I kinda freaked out saw a nice size rock and yes I did it, and without any hesitation too, I busted the back passanger window of the LS. I was not about walk, nor ask a stanger for a ride, I watch too many movies for that. Hey it was surely worth it believe me, and if I was ever in that situation again (heaven forbid) I'd do the same thing.
Heyyyy a perfect opportunity to use some smilies . Ok when I realized I locked myself out I was like then I was but then I started thinking the worst then I became while at the same time then something came over me and I felt and thats when I picked up the rock and said trick it I'll fix it latter. Sometimes you gatta do what you gotta do.

Oh oh oh the reason I pulled over was because I had a buch of junk in the back seat and was moving some of it to the trunk. Of course this was right before I got the LX.
Milla, admit it you were trying to get picked-up and then you chickened out !

Just upgraded to an LS430 (Nav-Lev) - how do I change my vote or how do I vote a second time?

I think we should edit the poll, that way it will include all the generations. IE:

90-94
95-97
98-00
01-04

That way we can get an idea on how many people drive what generation, instead of just saying "PRE-98 LS400"

I just picked up an immaculate 95 LS400 today (practically stole it) and am loving it. Trying to decide between the LS400 or the 996 for this weekend's Vegas trip

Smile Old Lexus Owner -- New LS

Picked up my new LS430 Custom in Moonlight Pearl after about a year debate with myself and sold my '98 GS300 after 7 years of ownership. Wow - is this a great car or what!!! I need to change my vote now and can't seem to figure out how to do that.

Sitting here after being awakened at 4:00 a.m. by severe thunderstorm warning this a.m. reading through all the owner's manuals. Glad the new car is in the garage as golf ball hail and 70 mph winds expected.

Anyone got advice on best break-in procedure, didn't find anything specific for the 4.3L in my forum search.

Break in is no big deal. Common sense. Drive calmly and don't rev the engine. Accelerate slowly. Other than that, your car will stil be squishin' bugs 200,000 miles from now no matter WHAT you do.

Thanks for the advice, what I expected although I recall the days of slow speeds, etc. for extended periods. Storms blew by with some hail and winds but most went just North of us. Another line of strong storms coming in now though. Looks like the LS will spend its day indoors today.

UPDATE: Been a week now and I just can't believe how fantastic this LS is. While my GS was a wonderful vehicle - the luxury and comfort of the LS cannot be beat by anything on the market in my humble opinion. And when absolute cost is considered - no one else shows up to the starting grid.

.....I just bought a '99 LS 400 myself, and the power, quiet and comfort inside are second to none! I did notice in your signature line that you have an MDX as well. The only thing where Lexus is inferior to Acura, is in The Navigation System. The second generation Acura Nav system is even better than the original one, which itself, was "the bomb" .......After all Honda/Acura wrote the book on Navigation Systems

This is main reason I have a '91 LS400, plus I needed a very good winter vehicle. I am waiting for the
2006 MB S500.
