Hey, easy on the uncle--I don't know where the transaction took place, but in Texas we pay 6.25% for sales tax when we register the car. $19,000 amounts to $1187 in tax when the uncle had to pay on the new car since he did not trade it in! A fair price to equal what the dealer was offering would have been $20, 187--a gift of $687! Pretty nice uncle, if you ask me!

That way we can get an idea on how many people drive what generation, instead of just saying "PRE-98 LS400"
Yeah, that is gonna drive me nuts, too. The 95-97 is the same car as the 98-00, just with a different front fascia. I'm already getting annoyed that people confuse mine with the 90-94. I guess I am going to have to convert it!

This just shows the timless design of the 90-94's. However a fellow LS owner will spot the difference right off. The body lines, bumpers, grill, fuel lid, tail lights, wheels, steering wheel...easy giveaways.

The '95-97 did not have huge sales #'s so being the middle kid, ours will have some uniqueness as they begin to disappear.

Darren- Did your Teins arrive?

I doubt they are as rare as the 98-00 models, they are SO hard to come by.

Judging from the numbers on eBay I would guess that 95-97 and 98-00 shared similar sales numbers.

Yeah, the Teins showed up... I posted a photo in this thread:

True that, but still gonna miss my LS430, they say it will change next year, so we will see how it looks. hopefully they dont mess it up like they did with the ES, but seeing what they did with the GS they will make the LS look much better. Hopefully.
