I had the exact same problem as you did. Changed the battery, it worked for only about 2 hrs driving. Finally changed the alternator, that fixed the problem. Some oil was leaking from head gasket down to alternator. I think that's what was the alternator problem. Got a remfg alternator for $150, intalled for $250.
